New Age International Inc is recalling Daily Veggies Enoki Mushrooms due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
The recalled product was distributed nationwide.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
Consumers who have purchased 200g packages of Daily Veggies Enoki Mushroom from October to November of 2024 are urged to destroy the products immediately or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Risk:
Listeria Monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy persons may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, L. Monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
