Salata Dressings of Houston, Texas, is recalling its Jalapeno Avocado Dressing due to potential Salmonella contamination.
The recalled products were distributed in HEB grocery stores in Texas between July 13, 2026, and August 5, 2026.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
The affected products have Best By dates of November 5, 2026, November 13, 2026, November 18, 2026, or November 25, 2026.
Risk:
Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections, endocarditis, and arthritis.
