Bell Sports Recalls Bicycle Helmets Due to Head Injury Risk

Bell Sports is recalling approximately 31,200 bicycle helmets (and 480 in Canada) because they do not comply with federal safety standards.
The helmets can fail to protect the user in a crash, posing a risk of head injury.
The helmets were sold at Walmart, Target, Academy Sports+ Outdoors and other stores nationwide and online from September 2024 through May 2025 for about $20.
No injuries have been reported.
Risk:
The recalled helmets do not comply with the impact requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Commission's (CPSC) mandatory federal safety standard for bicycle helmets. The helmets can fail to protect the user in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury.
