Company announcement

Boticelli Foods is recalling one lot of Bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter due to potential contamination with Salmonella.

The affected product was distributed to Walmart retail stores in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, and Wyoming.

No illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with this product to date.

The recall was initiated after the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services identified Salmonella in the product during a routine inspection on July 17, 2026.

Risk:

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.

Impacted states: AL, AK, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, KS, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NM, OR, SD, TN, WA, WY
