Whole Foods Market is recalling Fromagerie Coop de Mean Cabricharme cheese due to undeclared egg lysozyme, an egg white protein.

The affected cheese was sold in 18 Whole Foods Market stores across Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island.

All product with best by dates up to and including October 7, 2026, has been removed from shelves. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Risk:

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Impacted states: AZ, CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, RI
