Company announcement
El Eden Import Distributor Corp. is recalling approximately 264 pounds of potato chip products containing chicharrón (pork cracklings).
The products were imported from the Republic of Colombia, a country not eligible to export meat products to the United States.
The recalled products were shipped to a distributor in New Jersey and retail locations in New Jersey and Utah.
No confirmed reports of illness or injury have been associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumers who have purchased these products should not consume them and should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
Risk:
This is a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death (Class I - High or Medium Risk).
