AquaStar (USA) Corp is recalling Cocktail Shrimp 6oz due to potential contamination with cesium-137.

The affected product was sold in Walmart stores in multiple states between July 31, 2025, and August 16, 2025.

States affected: Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Risk:

The primary health effect of concern following longer term, repeated low dose exposure (e.g., through consumption of contaminated food or water over time) is an elevated risk of cancer, resulting from damage to DNA within living cells of the body.
