Abbey Specialty Foods is recalling Wicklow Gold Cheddar Nettle & Chive and Tomato & Herb cheeses due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The products were distributed in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Colorado.

No adverse health events have been reported to date.

Risk:

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. In healthy individuals, it may cause short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

Impacted states: MA, ME, NH, OH, CO
