Gias Foods, Inc. is recalling all lot codes of bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The product was distributed nationwide at Walmart stores.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.

The recall was initiated after routine sampling by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services detected the bacteria.

Consumers who purchased the recalled product are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
