Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. has issued a voluntary advisory for a production lot of Marketside 4in/1.6 oz bundle pack celery sticks due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected product, sold in Walmart stores, has a 'Consume by' date of March 23, 2025.

The product has expired its shelf life and is no longer available in stores, but consumers may have frozen it for later use.

The product was distributed to stores in multiple states, including Alabama, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection to this product.

Listeria monocytogenes is a microorganism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may experience only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
