Company announcement

PennRose Farms, LLC is recalling 5-pound mesh bags of whole cucumbers due to potential contamination with Salmonella.

The recalled cucumbers were packaged between May 2, 2025 and May 5, 2025, and shipped to Restaurant Depot distribution centers in New Jersey, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, and Ohio.

Consumers are urged not to consume the recalled cucumbers and to discard them immediately.

Risk:

Consumption of products contaminated with Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
