Company announcement

Braga Fresh is issuing a precautionary advisory for a single production lot of washed and ready-to-eat 12oz Marketside Broccoli Florets due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected product has a "Best if Used by Date" of December 10, 2024.

The potential for contamination was discovered during random sampling by Texas Health & Human Services from a Texas store location.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with this product to date.

Risk:

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
