Conair has expanded its recall of Cuisinart metal wire bristle grill brushes, now totaling over 3.6 million units.
The recall, announced on August 27, 2026, is due to small metal wire bristles detaching from the brushes and sticking to food, posing an ingestion hazard.
Conair is aware of at least 54 reports of detached bristles, including three instances where consumers required medical treatment to remove bristles from their digestive tract or throat. No deaths have been reported.
Risk:
Small metal wire bristles can detach from the brushes and stick to the grill or food, posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injuries that could require surgery.
