Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is recalling Wegmans Medium Camembert Soft Ripened Cheese and various products containing this cheese due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
The affected products were sold in the cheese department at all Wegmans stores located in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
The affected items were sold between July 1, 2025 and August 12, 2025. No illnesses have been reported to date.
Risk:
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
