Company announcement

Savencia Cheese USA is voluntarily recalling select soft ripened cheeses due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected products were manufactured in the Lena manufacturing facility.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse health events due to consumption of these products as of November 2, 2024.

Risk:

Consumption of products contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
