Albertsons Companies is recalling select store-made deli items due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The recalled items were available at various store banners including Albertsons, Safeway and Vons in multiple states.

No injuries or adverse reactions have been reported.

Risk:

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
