FSIS has issued a public health alert for meat sauce products from Thompson’s Spanish Sauce Manufacturing, LLC due to production without federal inspection.
The products were sold in Illinois and Indiana, including farmers’ markets. No illnesses have been reported.
Risk:
FSIS is issuing a public health alert because the company was unavailable to confirm their actions to remove affected products from commerce. FSIS will continue to work with the company and conduct effectiveness checks to verify customers are notified and ensure no affected products are available to consumers.
