SeaBear Company is recalling Smoked Salmon Chowder and Alehouse Clam Chowder due to potential contamination with Clostridium botulinum.
The chowders were distributed in Alaska, California, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington through retail stores and nationwide via SeaBear's website between October 1, 2024, and March 14, 2025.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
Risk:
Consumption of food contaminated with Clostridium botulinum can cause botulism, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning with symptoms including general weakness, dizziness, double-vision, trouble speaking or swallowing, difficulty breathing, muscle weakness, abdominal distension, and constipation.
