Made Fresh Salads Inc. is recalling all Ready to Eat Deli Style Salads and cream cheese due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The products were distributed in Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and New York City, New York.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall was initiated after environmental sampling by the FDA and the company detected Listeria monocytogenes in some facility areas.
Affected products have expiration dates from September 3, 2026 through September 18, 2026.
Risk:
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
