FSIS has issued a public health alert for canned chicken Vienna-style sausages that were illegally imported from Jamaica, a country not eligible to export such products to the U.S.

The products were distributed to retail locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and Texas.

No confirmed reports of illness or injury have been associated with the consumption of these products.

Risk:

Potential high health risk due to products being illegally imported from a country not eligible to export meat or poultry to the U.S., meaning they have not undergone U.S. safety inspections.

Impacted states: AL, FL, GA, MD, TX
