Organic Zing Birch Oil bottles are being recalled because they lack child-resistant packaging.

The essential oil contains methyl salicylate, which poses a risk of poisoning if swallowed by young children.

About 940 units are affected and were sold on Amazon.com from January 2024 through November 2025 for about $20.

No injuries have been reported.

Risk:

The essential oil bottles contain methyl salicylate, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The bottles for the products are not child resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
