Madewell Recalls Women’s Sweaters Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Burn Hazard; Violate Mandatory Standard for Clothing Textiles

Madewell is recalling approximately 5,900 women's Double V-Neck Pullover and V-Neck Cardigan sweaters due to a burn hazard.
One incident of a sweater catching fire has been reported, but no injuries have occurred.
The products were sold nationwide at Madewell and T.J. Maxx stores and online at Madewell.com from December 2024 through October 2025.
Consumers should immediately stop using the sweaters, destroy them by cutting them in half, send a photo to Madewell, and dispose of the product to receive a full refund or store credit.

The recalled sweaters violate the mandatory standard for clothing textiles, posing a risk of serious burn injuries or death.
