A2batt is recalling approximately 4,930 EEMB Lithium-ion Coin Battery Chargers with Rechargeable 2032 Batteries, model SKLC-0420-0040.
The product includes the charger, four rechargeable 2032 lithium-ion batteries, and a USB cable.
The chargers were sold online at Amazon.com from August 2024 through March 2026 for about $14.
No incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
Risk:
The recalled battery chargers violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries because the charger has lithium coin batteries that can be accessed easily by children. The coin batteries are not in child-resistant packaging, and the packaging lacks required warnings under Reese’s Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.
