Wegmans Food Markets is recalling Locatelli Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The cheese was sold in Wegmans stores across Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. between November 14, 2025 and November 24, 2025.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Risk:

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. In healthy individuals, it may cause short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
