Company announcement

NatureBest Precut & Produce LLC is voluntarily recalling products containing jalapeño peppers due to potential Salmonella contamination.

The affected products were distributed to retail customers in Texas and Louisiana between July 3, 2026, and August 5, 2026.

A multistate outbreak of Salmonella Javiana infections linked to jalapeño peppers has resulted in 345 reported illnesses from 27 states. No specific deaths or injuries are reported in this recall announcement.

Risk:

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, frail or elderly people, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Symptoms in healthy persons often include fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare cases, infection with Salmonella can lead to more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
