Jack and the Green Sprouts, Inc. is recalling 5oz packages of Alfalfa sprouts that expired on January 29, 2025, due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The produce was sold in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Risk:

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. In healthy individuals, it may cause short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
