NEWDERY has recalled approximately 21,380 power banks due to fire and burn hazards from exploding or igniting lithium-ion batteries.
Nine incidents of explosion and ignition have been reported, including one serious fire causing $2 million in property damage and one burn injury.
The recalled power banks were sold online on Amazon.com from October 2023 to November 2024.
Risk:
The lithium-ion battery in the power banks can explode or ignite, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.
