BenQ America is recalling approximately 1,249 GV31 Portable Projectors in the U.S. and 240 in Canada.
The recall, announced on July 30, 2026, is due to the projectors' lithium-ion battery overheating.
Three reports of overheating have been received, including one incident resulting in burns on hands.
Consumers should stop using the projectors immediately and contact BenQ for a free battery repair or replacement.
