Hillside Orchard Farms is recalling various flavors of fruit breads and fritters due to an undeclared egg allergen.
The products were sold primarily in farm markets and roadside stands in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.
The recall was initiated after an investigation by the FDA revealed that the allergen egg had been left off the label during a reprint of the labels.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
Risk:
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
Impacted states: AL, GA, NC, PA, SC
