Company announcement

A public health alert has been issued for headcheese deli meat products due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The products were produced on January 20, 2026, and distributed to retail deli locations in Illinois and Indiana.

The alert was triggered by an ongoing illness outbreak investigation in Illinois, involving three sick individuals.

The products are no longer available for purchase.

Risk:

Consumption of food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, a serious infection that primarily affects older adults, persons with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women and their newborns. Less commonly, persons outside these risk groups are affected.
