GOPO Toys is recalling approximately 70,410 pull string teething toys sold nationwide on Amazon.com from August 2023 through March 2026.
The firm has received three reports of the toy’s strings reaching the back of a child’s throat, resulting in respiratory distress or choking. No deaths have been reported.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the teething toy, take it away from children, and contact GOPO Toys for a full refund after destroying the product as instructed.
Risk:
The silicone strings are smaller and longer than permitted, allowing them to reach the back of children’s throats and become lodged, posing a serious risk of respiratory distress and deadly choking hazard.
