Company announcement

FSIS issues a public health alert for Bismillah Halal Meats ground beef due to potential contamination with E. coli O103.

The ground beef was sold directly to consumers from April 10, 2025 to April 23, 2025 in Marietta, Georgia.

There have been no confirmed reports of illness due to consumption of these products.

Risk:

E. coli O103 is a Shiga-toxin producing E. coli (STEC). Many clinical laboratories do not test for non-O157 STEC, such as O103, because it is harder to identify than STEC O157:H7. People can become ill from STECs 2–8 days (average of 3–4 days) after consuming the organism.

Impacted states: GA
