This recall involves Thermos Stainless King Food Jars and Thermos Sportsman Food & Beverage Bottles due to the risk of the stopper forcefully ejecting when opened.
This can result in serious impact injury and laceration hazards.
The containers were sold nationwide at Target, Walmart, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com and Thermos.com.
There have been 27 reports of consumers struck by the stopper, including three cases of permanent vision loss.
Risk:
If perishable food or beverages are stored in the container for an extended period of time, the stopper can forcefully eject when opened, which can result in serious impact injury and laceration hazards to the consumer.
