Company announcement

Great Lakes Wholesale International is recalling select battery packs due to the batteries not being in child-resistant packaging and lacking required warning labels.

These batteries violate Reese’s Law.

If a child swallows these batteries, it can lead to serious injuries, including internal chemical burns and death.

No incidents or injuries have been reported.

The batteries were sold at Downeast Wholesalers Renys, International Wholesale, Lots & More, Northwoods Wholesale Outlet, a Ben Franklin store in Tennessee, and other stores nationwide from September 2024 through August 2025.

Risk:

If a child swallows button cell or coin batteries, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns and death.
