Yamaha has recalled approximately 8,650 Model Year 2021-2022 Fleet Golf Cars sold nationwide due to a misrouted passenger-side brake cable. This malfunction can lead to cable breakage.
Six incidents of brake cable breaking have been reported, but no injuries. The recall was issued on June 11, 2026.
Risk:
The recalled golf cars’ passenger-side brake cable could have been misrouted during assembly. If the cable was misrouted, abnormal wear can occur which can cause the passenger-side cable to break during use, posing a risk of serious injury or death from a crash hazard.
