Company announcement

On August 21, 2026, Fromm Family Foods of Mequon, Wisconsin, announced a voluntary recall of 3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet canned dog food and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pâté Wet canned dog food.

The recall was initiated due to potential metal contamination in the products.

The affected products were distributed to neighborhood pet stores and online retailers across the United States and Canada.

To date, there have been no reports of illness or injury related to the recalled products.

Risk:

Dogs ingesting metal may exhibit symptoms such as choking, vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, or stomach discomfort. Metal of any size, especially sharp pieces, can lead to serious health issues in dogs, including lacerations in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract. Metal, when consumed in large amounts, can lead to gastrointestinal upset, partial blockage, and a risk of intestinal obstruction. Consumers whose dogs have consumed any of the affected product and are exhibiting these symptoms should contact their veterinarian.
